As the season of gratitude begins, we’re reminded how much warmth can come from sharing what we have.
Harvest of Care began after learning that many families in our region will lose access to SNAP assistance starting November 1st. For some, that means facing empty shelves right as the holidays begin, and we can’t let that happen quietly.
Rove Café & Kitchen is stepping up in the way we know best, through good food, community, and kindness. This month, we’re collecting groceries, toiletries, and donations to help anyone in need of a little extra support.
Whether you’d like to give help or receive it, this page is here for you. Everything is handled quietly and respectfully. Because care should never come with conditions.
If You Need Help
We know it’s not always easy to ask. That’s why we’ve created a few simple ways to reach us privately:

Harvest of Care Box: You’ll find a locked mailbox outside the café. Drop in a request card (no name required). 3065 Main Street Peru, NY 12972

Online Form (below): You can fill it out anonymously no names or personal details are required unless you’d like us to contact you.

If you don’t have access to transportation, please let us know; volunteers can help with delivery.
If You'd Like to Help
There are so many ways to make a difference this month:

Drop off donations: non-perishables, toiletries, or pantry staples inside the café or at Rove + Dwell.

Pay It Forward: add $10 (or any amount) to your café tab to cover a warm meal for someone in need.

Adopt a Family: sponsor the cost of a Thanksgiving meal; we’ll prepare and deliver it on your behalf.

Volunteer: help pack boxes or deliver groceries to families who can’t drive.
We’re primarily collecting non-perishable food and essentials. If you’d like to donate fresh items (like produce or dairy), please contact us first so we can coordinate safe storage and distribution.
